Week Ahead Weather: Rain, Then Chance of Snow In Huntersville

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- It’s going to start feeling a lot more like winter this week, all the way don to a chance of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Monday and Tuesday will feel unseasonably warm, with highs topping out near 63 Tuesday, but then the script starts to change. Rain is moving in, promising a soggy rest of the week.

With the rain will come cooler temperatures. Wednesday, the high will be about 53 degrees. By Sunday, however, the high is only expected to reach 44 degrees.

Conditions could bring snow Thursday night into Friday morning, forecasters say. Any flurries that fall, however, won’t likely stick around for long. The high Friday is expected to reach 46.

A slight chance of rain before 11am, then a chance of showers after 11am. Patchy fog before 9am. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. Light south southwest wind increasing to 5 to 9 mph in the morning. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts of less than a tenth of an inch possible.
Tuesday Night
Showers. Low around 48. South southwest wind 5 to 9 mph becoming northwest after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Showers likely, mainly before 7am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 53. North northwest wind 5 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
