Week Ahead Weather: The Week Of Isolated Showers

HUNTERSVILLE, NC -- Isolated showers will be what’s in store for most of the week in the Lake Norman region, however clearer skies and slightly cooler temperatures are expected by the weekend.

Tuesday’s forecast includes a small 20 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms. Wednesday, however, is a different story with a 50 percent chance of rain through the evening. Any rain on tap should move out of the region by Thursday evening, leaving behind cooler temperatures in the mid-80s.

A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. South southwest wind around 7 mph.
Tonight
Partly cloudy, with a low around 74. South southwest wind around 6 mph.
Wednesday (Aug. 23)
A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 11am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. West southwest wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Wednesday Night
A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70. North wind 3 to 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday (Aug. 24)
A slight chance of showers before noon, then a slight chance of rain between noon and 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 84. North wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
