Woman Arrested After Selling Heroin To Undercover Cop: HPD

HUNTERSVILLE, NC β€” A Charlotte woman was recently arrested in Huntersville after she sold an undercover officer a β€œtrafficking amount of heroin,” according to the Huntersville Police Department.

According to Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office arrest records, Tonnesha Tayonna Geary-Jones, 25, was initially arrested May 15 and charged with felony possession of cocaine and Schedule I controlled substance, as well as possession of drug paraphernalia.

The next day, she was charged with 20 counts of drug-related offenses, including multiple counts of trafficking and possession with the intent to distribute heroin.

β€œThroughout the investigation she sold nearly 3.5 ounces of heroin,” HPD said. β€œWhen she was arrested she had additional heroin, prescription pills, methamphetamine, and cocaine inside her vehicle. A search of her residence also resulted in the seizure of an additional 4 ounces of heroin, 5 pounds of marijuana, and methamphetamine.”
