You May See A House On Fire In Huntersville Saturday: Here’s Why
The Huntersville Fire Department will be training Saturday morning, which means residents may see smoke. Here's why.
HUNTERSVILLE, NC — The Huntersville Fire Department will be conducting a live burn training exercise Saturday morning, which means residents may see smoke. A lot of it.
HFD will be conducting the live burn fire training at a home located at 8018 Gilead Road in Huntersville Nov. 16 beginning around 8 a.m..
“This home was impacted several times by storm related flood losses,” HFD said in a statement. “Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services purchased the home as part of the flood-buyout program and is scheduled for demolition. When the building is torn down, flood water will soak into the ground, combating floods and improving water quality.”
