• One person killed by gunfire at church campground, North Carolina sheriff says (newsobserver.com) — A person was fatally shot early Sunday at Tuckers Grove Campground on NC 73 in Iron Station, where deputies were already on site providing security. Lincoln County investigators say an unknown suspect fled after the gunfire, and the victim later died at a Charlotte hospital. Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity or what sparked the disturbance.
