📰 News we're reading
• Jane Doe v. Jennifer "Jo" Cobb (morelaw.com) — A recent Davidson County Superior Court case handled by a Lexington personal injury lawyer highlights how North Carolina’s unusual “alienation of affection” lawsuits work when a spouse sues a third party over a broken marriage. The filing outlines what plaintiffs must prove, key deadlines, and the potential for significant damages that can arise from these emotionally charged claims.
• Ann L. Shuman (1933 – 2026) (royalexaminer.com) — Lexington readers may recognize the Shuman family, as Ann L. Shuman’s son and his family live here while they mourn her passing at age 93 in Front Royal, Virginia. Her life spanned New England roots, military-family travels, decades of veterinary clinic work, and deep devotion to family, with burial planned in her beloved hometown of Needham, Massachusetts.
