• Carolyn Rivenbark, 71 (portcitydaily.com) — A local family in Matthews is mourning the loss of 71-year-old Carolyn Rivenbark, whose sister lives here and remains among her closest survivors. Rivenbark, a Wilmington resident remembered for her love of the outdoors, pets, and strong support for law enforcement, died May 18 after a long illness, with her son by her side and many friends and caregivers helping in her final years.
