• How can we get more kids to play sports? Here's Little League's answer (usatoday.com) — A national youth sports partnership has a small but meaningful tie to Mint Hill through Boys & Girls Clubs of America COO Lorraine Orr, who grew up playing neighborhood baseball there. Little League and Boys & Girls Clubs are launching pilot programs in 2027 to make baseball and softball more affordable and accessible, aiming to reach more kids who might otherwise be priced out of organized sports.
