12 Mooresville Restaurants Earn βAβ Ratings In Kitchen Inspection

MOORESVILLE, NC β A dozen recently inspected Mooresville area restaurant kitchens all earned βAβ health ratings, however numerous health code violations were found ranging from dirty pans stored as clean to an employee handling plates for food after touching raw bacon.

At Jersey Mikeβs Subs, an inspection found 12 violations, including metal pans stored as clean that still had food debris and residue inside of them. A meat slicer was found to be washed rinsed and sanitized once every 24 hours, when codes require every four, the report said.

An employee at Waffle House was seen handling raw eggs and bacon with gloved hands right before handling clean plates to put food on them, a July 25 inspection report said. The kitchen inspection also found dirty plastic containers, and that the dishwasher was not reaching the proper temperature during its final hot water sanitizing rinse cycle, clean coffee mugs splattered with coffee, bags of clean linens sitting on the floor and areas of the kitchen in need of cleaning.
