18-Year-Old Iredell Man Charged With Secret Peeping: ICSO
Cody Daniel Wells, 18, was arrested after a female victim found a hidden video recording device in her home, the sheriff's office said.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — An 18-year-old Statesville man has been arrested and charged with numerous counts of secret peeping after a female victim discovered a hidden video recording device in her home, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Tuesday.
According to ICSO, the victim reported the device to the sheriff’s office Dec. 20, 2019, prompting an investigation.
“Search warrants were obtained for the residence and items of evidence were seized. Several witnesses were also interviewed during the course of the investigation,” ICSO said.

As a result of the probe, Cody Daniel Wells, 18, of Statesville was arrested Jan. 15. He was charged with five counts of felony secret peeping for incidents that occurred during the span of Jan. 1, 2019 to Dec. 20, 2019, ICSO said.
Wells was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where a secured bond was set at $50,000.
