5 Fun Things To Do This Weekend In Mooresville : Dec. 8-10

Horse-drawn wagon rides, The Drifters and pet photos with Santa are all among the fun things to do in Mooresville this weekend.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- If you’re looking for something to do this weekend, we’ve got a great rundown of events for you. There are horse-drawn wagon rides, a holiday concert by The Drifters, and a boat parade with Christmas lights.

There’s also one more thing to look forward to this weekend. The Lake Norman region will see its first snowfall of the season Friday as a cooler temperatures move into the area, according to a National Weather Service forecast. You can read more about the weekend forecast here.

  • Horse-Drawn Wagon Rides -- Christmas comes to Downtown Mooresville, with Santa visits, horse-drawn wagon rides, hot cocoa, and more. Wagons load and unload at Mooresville Christian Mission, 266 N. Broad Street. Friday, Dec. 8, 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
  • The Drifters: A Christmas Concert -- The iconic Mo-Town group will perform their holiday pop show. Sunday, Dec. 10. Charles Mack Citizen Center, 215 N. Main St., Mooresville. 7 p.m. - 9 p.m.
  • Pet Pics With Santa -- Help your four-legged buddy get into the Christmas spirit with a photo with Santa. All proceeds from this event support Happy Tails Rescue. Saturday, Dec. 9. Petco, 611 River Hwy., Mooresville. 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.
  • The Lighted Boat Parade -- Enjoy a festive parade of rainbow colors and holiday lights on Lake Norman at this annual event open to the Lake Norman community. Concessions open at 5 p.m., Santa arrives by fireboat at 6 p.m. and the parade starts at 6:15 p.m. The Peninsula Yacht Club, 18501 Harbor Light Blvd., Cornelius. Saturday, Dec. 9.
