64-Year-Old Bicyclist Hit, Killed In Mooresville: Reports
The 64-year-old man riding the bicycle was hit by a vehicle and killed on Highway 115 Sunday afternoon.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A 64-year-old man riding a bicycle on Highway 115 was struck and killed by a vehicle Sunday afternoon, according to reports.
The crash occurred near Bridges Farm Road when the man turned in front of a car attempting to pass him on the two-lane highway, North Carolina Highway Patrol said, WSOC reported.
According to Iredell Firewire, a 911 call was placed from someone at the scene around 4:20 p.m. The caller told authorities that the man was not conscious and was not breathing. By 4:30 p.m., first responders from Mount Mourne had confirmed the fatality, Firewire said.
