Accused Thief Broke Into Homes, Stole Guns: Iredell Sheriff
Deputies arrested David Glaspy and charged him with breaking into homes in western Iredell County and stealing guns and electronics.
MOORESVILLE, NC — Iredell County deputies have arrested and charged a man they say is wanted for breaking into two home in western Iredell County last week and stealing guns.
According to Sheriff Darren Campbell, David Bernard Glaspy, 55, was stopped by deputies while driving an older model blue Chevrolet Impala, which matched the description of a vehicle driven by the alleged suspect behind the two robberies.
The break-ins were reported July 18 and July 19 in the western end of the county. In both cases, guns, musical equipment Xboxes and Play Stations were taken from the homes.

“Home surveillance video from one of the break-ins showed a single black male enter the residence,” Campbell said in a statement.

Following the traffic stop, detectives and deputies executed a search warrant at Glaspy’s home and found several of the items which had been listed as stolen, Campbell said.
Glaspy was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and was charged with two counts of felony breaking and entering, two counts of felony larceny after breaking and entering, and two counts of felony larceny of a firearm. His bond was set at $10,000.
