He's reported the tire-destroying device to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, while investigators elsewhere in North Carolina have probed similar hazards, raising concerns for anyone walking or driving around town.

β’ North Carolina town will not extend contract with Flock Safety: What we know (wbtv.com) β Mooresville gets a mention in a broader debate over Flock Safety cameras after a local officer was accused of using the system repeatedly for personal reasons. Nearby Catawba has now decided not to extend its trial contract, citing funding limits and other needs, adding to regional questions about how these license plate readers should be used and overseen.
