Authorities Searching For Man Named Suspect In Iredell Murder

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a man they say is a suspect in an early morning homicide in northern Iredell County Monday.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Pierson Worth Colbert, 23, is described as a white male, 5-foot, 10-inches tall.

He was last seen driving an older, light color Nissan Sentra but he may now be driving a dark green 1996 GMC Sonoma pickup truck with a toolbox in the bed and NC tag PCB-2545, ICSO said.

“Do not approach this suspect!” the sheriff’s office said, adding that anyone with information about Colbert's location is asked to call the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office at 704-878-3100 or call 911, or email the information to icsoinfo@co.iredell.nc.us.
