Big Chill: Freeze Watch For Mooresville This Weekend

A freeze watch is in effect Saturday evening through Sunday morning, when temperatures could dip into the 20s, according to forecasters.

MOORESVILLE, NC — It’s going to feel a lot like winter this weekend, according to forecasters, who say freezing temperatures will descend upon the piedmont of North Carolina Saturday. A freeze watch is in effect from Saturday evening through Sunday morning, the National Weather Service said Friday.

A freeze watch means temperatures below freezing are possible and conditions could kill sensitive vegetation or damage unprotected outdoor plumbing, NWS Said.

The night will mark the coldest night so far this season, according to North Carolina Emergency Management.
