Body Of Missing Lake Norman Swimmer Found: Report

Search crews have located the body of a man who drowned Sunday on Lake Norman in Mooresville, according to a report.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Search crews have found the body of a man who went missing on Lake Norman Sunday afternoon, according to a report.

Tuesday, Aug. 8 marks the third day searchers combed the water near Queen’s Landing in Mooresville to locate the man presumed to have drown Aug. 6 after he went down into the water and never surfaced.

Search crews located the body of the 28-year-old man early in the morning of Aug. 8, WCCB reported.

The man, who was in a rented boat, was with three others when he jumped into the water but never came back up, the Mooresville Tribune reported. Rescue crews planned on using an underwater robotic vehicle as part of the search efforts, the newspaper said.
