Breaking: Tornado Hits Iredell County
A tornado has been reported after line of fast moving severe weather with heavy rains move through the area, damaging and destroying homes.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Severe weather conditions ratcheted up Wednesday evening, prompting a tornado warning in Iredell and Rowan counties.
Iredell County Sheriff deputies confirmed a tornado touched down in Iredell County, WSOCTV reported, adding that Highway 64 and Swan Road were closed.
By 4:30 p.m. in Statesville, up to 30 homes had already seen damage from the storm activity, including two that were destroyed, WBTV reported.

Wednesday’s storms add to the week of severe weather in North Carolina. A tornado with winds reaching about 110 mph touched down outside of Raleigh earlier in the week, decimating a volunteer fire department in Autryville, N.C.
