Charlotte Man Busted For Drugs During Mooresville Traffic Stop
Jimmy Jermaine Hicks was arrested by Iredell Sheriff's deputies after "Danny" the drug dog smelled narcotics, Sheriff Campbell said.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Charlotte man was arrested and charged with several drug offenses after the vehicle he was traveling in was pulled over for a traffic stop, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said Friday.
Jimmy Jermaine Hicks, 35, was a passenger in a Nissan pulled over Aug. 4 around 9 p.m., Campbell said. During the traffic stop, the K-9 team arrived and “Danny” the drug dog conducted an “open air sniff” of the vehicle and indicated drugs were inside.
Deputies searched the vehicle and found under Hicks’ seat a 9 mm handgun with an altered serial number, 25 grams of methamphetamine and clear plastic bags, “which are consistent with the sale of narcotics,” Campbell said.
