Charlotte Man Nabbed For Forging Checks From Mooresville Business
Vernand Anthony Gregory of Charlotte was charged with forging checks from a Mooresville business for more than $3,000, ICSO said.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A Charlotte man has been arrested and charged with numerous counts of felony identity theft after authorities said he forged more than $3,000 in checks taken from a Mooresville business.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Vernand Anthony Gregory, 32, of Charlotte cashed the checks belonging to One 11 Automotive Renovations at multiple banks in Winston-Salem, Greensboro and Walkertown, North Carolina between June 28 and July 1.
After an investigation that included witness statements and bank record search warrants, Gregory was identified as the suspect in the crime and warrants were issued for his arrest, ICSO said.

Gregory was arrested by Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department on Aug. 28, and was charged with four counts of felony identity theft and four counts of felony uttering a forged instrument.
