Chesterbrook Academy Students Donate Food to Local Soup Kitchen

Students hosted a food drive and presented a donation of 890 items to a representative from Mooresville Soup Kitchen

Students at Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Mooresville recently donated 890 food items to Mooresville Soup Kitchen to help stock the organization’s shelves and provide meals to those in need during the holiday season. During a school-wide food drive, students learned about different food groups while helping to sort and prepare the items for delivery. Through this initiative, students learned the importance of helping others in the community, especially during the holiday season.

Mooresville Soup Kitchen provides provide nourishing meals, fellowship, and encouragement to those in need. At the Mooresville Soup Kitchen and out in the greater community, they serve veterans, at-risk youth, the homeless, victims of domestic violence, senior citizens, and the working poor.
