Child Sex Charges For Lake Norman High Social Studies Teacher
Jonathan Conrad Busch, who resigned from the school this week, is accused of multiple counts of statutory rape and indecent liberties.

MOORESVILLE, NC — A former Mooresville teacher has been arrested on child sex charges, according to the Gaston County Sheriff’s Office.
Jonathan Conrad Busch, 54, was arrested June 21 in Gaston County and charged with two counts of statutory rape of a child and two counts of indecent liberties with a child.
The charges stem from allegations he had sex with a girl younger than 16 while he was a teacher at Mooresville’s Lake Norman High School, the Mooresville Tribune reported. The incidents did not occur on school property or involve a student, Iredell-Statesville Schools Superintendent Brady Johnson told the newspaper.
