Complaint Leads To Mooresville Man's Arrest, Drug Charges

MOORESVILLE, NC — A tip from the community led police to a Mooresville home near North Main Park, where a 21-year-old man was later arrested and charged with numerous drug-related offenses, including possession of methamphetamine, Mooresville Police said Tuesday.

According to Mooresville Police Department, officers received a complaint about narcotics at a home in the 100 block of Wellshire Street on Sunday.

Officers responded to Wellshire Street and spoke with several individuals, identified the suspect and obtained warrants, MPD said.

Clayton M. Broyhill of Mooresville was then arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine; possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine; possession with intent to sell and deliver controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a park; maintaining a dwelling for usage of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Broyhill was transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. His secured bond was set at $150,000.
