Corvid To Bring 367 Jobs, Headquarters To Mooresville
The engineering firm will invest nearly $29 million in Mooresville. Here's what the annual payroll impact will mean for Iredell County.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Engineering firm Corvid Technologies plans to expand by locating its headquarters at its existing Mooresville location, North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced Tuesday. In doing so, it will bring 367 engineering jobs to Iredell County and will invest $28.9 million in Mooresville, he said.
The engineering firm focuses on a variety of industries, including motorsports, defense, biomedical and aviation industries. In addition to the current Mooresville location, Corvid also has offices in Huntsville, Alabama; Alexandria, Virginia; and Ventura, California. It currently employs 145 engineers and scientists.
“We’re excited to consolidate our headquarters in North Carolina and continue our rapid expansion in the area,” Dr. David Robinson, CEO of Corvid, said in a statement. “The business-friendly climate at the local, county, and state level combined with access to premier engineering talent coming out of the nearby university systems were all major factors in our decision to locate the company headquarters in the area.”

According to the announcement, the addition of the new jobs, which will have varying salaries, will have an annual payroll impact of about $40.5 million in Iredell County.
