Domestic Assault Call Leads To Early Morning Police Standoff In Mooresville: Report
A domestic assault call turned into a standoff with police early Friday morning near downtown Mooresville, according to a report.

UPDATE: After surrendering to Mooresville Police, Dan Coster was arrested and charged with assault on a female and assault with a deadly weapon with a minor present.
Around 4 a.m. June 16, police were called by a woman with injuries who said were inflicted by Costner, who is her husband. She told police he assaulted her, threatened her with a knife and then barricaded himself with their two children, ages 2 and 7 in their West Iredell Avenue home.
Coster was in a standoff with police until he finally surrendered around 8 a.m. He’s being held without bond in the Iredell County Jail, MPD said.
MOORESVILLE, NC -- A Mooresville man barricaded himself in a home near downtown Mooresville following a domestic assault call Friday morning, kicking off a standoff with police, according to a report.
Mooresville police erected road blocks near the house before the situation was resolved around 8 a.m., WSOC reported June 16. Streets affected were West Iredell Avenue, Academy Street, Tunnel Road, Broad Street and West Moore Street, the station said.
