Here are the top three stories today in Mooresville:

1. The Mooresville High School Football team has done very well this season! According to WCCB Charlotte, the team has quietly put together a nine-and-one season. Mooresville Head Coach, Joe Nixon, says "We got a really gritty group of players that come to work every day and they love being around each other and so we love our team here and we are just trying to get better every week." While fans in our area look at teams like Chambers, Butler and Mallard Creek as favorites to win it all, the Blue Devils say not so fast. "All the hard work we put in as a team, and the early mornings we had the whole summer. I mean just the grit of it. As a team just wanting to change the perspective of Mooresville High School and the football program. The want is here now, " says Senior Jawarn Howell. The Blue Devils find themselves as the number two see in the 4A West bracket. It is the highest this team has ever been seeded as they start a run for a state championship." Good luck guys! 2. Josh's Farmers Market in Mooresville and Carolina Caring helped to make one teenager's pumpkin patch dream come true. According to Statesville Record 7 Landmark, "Tyler wanted to take his little cousin Olivia to see the pumpkins. But Tyler's health made it difficult to fulfill his wish. That's when Carolina Caring's Cardinal Kids and volunteer staff jumped into action and made his dream come true. They brought the pumpkin patch to him. Tyler's mom Brenda and sister Dani, along with out-of-state relatives attended, and the whole family was able to make beautiful memories of fall fun, including painting pumpkins provided by Josh's Farmers Market in Mooresville." 3. The Town of Mooresville knows the skate community is excited about the new Skate Park. However, they are asking that residents please remember the site is still under construction and is not open for use. The town posted on its Facebook page to please keep yourself safe and prevent project delays from damage by using the temporary Skate Park located by the War Memorial Center on Maple Street.
