Human Trafficking Awareness Event Set for Sept. 5 In Mooresville
The event will be held in downtown Mooresville and will focus on how to recognize and prevent human trafficking in our region.
MOORESVILLE, NC — A human trafficking awareness event aimed at educating parents, teens, educators and the community will be held in Mooresville Sept. 5.
Here’s what organizers say about the event:
“The Charlotte Region is ranked #1 in N.C. for human trafficking. Join us to learn how to recognize it, what to do, and how to prevent it from happening. Teens, parents, educators, and the community at large are encouraged to attend this FREE event. You have the power to protect our youth through prevention!”
The event will be held at the Charles Mack Citizen Center, located at 215 N. Main Street in Mooresville. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the program will begin at 6:30 p.m.

Speakers will include: Hannah Arrowood, Executive Director, Present Age Ministries; Kelly Stutts, Ambassador of Hope, Shared Hope Int’l.; and Ashlie Shanely, Chief Assistant District Attorney of Cabarrus County & Safe Haven Special Victims Unit.
