ICYMI: Columbus Day 2017: What's Open, Closed In Mooresville
Patch has compiled a list of what Cornelius offices and services are open and closed on Columbus Day.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Columbus Day is considered a federal holiday, but it's not typically a holiday most get off work for. Even so, some government offices and other services will take a break for the holiday.
Mooresville government offices will be open for Columbus Day, as well as schools, while libraries and the post office will operate on a different schedule.

Here are the openings/closings to be aware of on Monday, Oct. 9:
U.S. Post Office: Closed

City Offices: Open
Schools and Administrative Offices: Open
Libraries: All Charlotte Mecklenburg Library branches will be closed for staff training & Columbus Day.
State Offices: Open on regular schedule
Trash and Recycling: Solid waste services will provide collection services according to the normal schedule.
N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles: open on regular schedule
