Iredell County COVID-19 Death Toll Increases To 104: ICHD
More than 700 cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the past week, according to Iredell County Health Department.
MOORESVILLE, NC — The number of known COVID-19 cases in Iredell County rose to 9,047 confirmed cases Monday, an increase of 718 known cases in the span of one week, Iredell County Health Department reported.
As of Dec. 29, at least 60 county residents were hospitalized, and least 104 deaths were attributed to the virus — an increase of eight county residents dead from the virus in a week.
The news comes as North Carolina's tally of COVID-19 cases rose by 3,888 new cases Monday, increasing the state's total to 520,716 known cases, according to the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.

At least 12 deaths were reported throughout the state, increasing the state's death toll to 6,561. As of Dec. 29, about 14.7 percent of tests conducted in the state were positive.
