Iredell County Detention Center Expansion Now Open

Iredell County Detention Center expansion dedicated and opened.

On Friday, March 13, 2020, the Iredell County Detention Center expansion was dedicated, and opened.

After prayer, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell, and Iredell County Board of Commissioners Chairman James Mallory made remarks about the new facility along with thanking the numerous individuals, and companies who made this facility possible. The ceremony culminated with the Official "Ribbon Cutting".

Numerous elected officials, law enforcement agency members, court officials, and community members were able to take guided tours of the new detention center after the opening ceremony.

Tours will be held today until 12:00 noon. Tours will be held again tomorrow, Saturday, March 14, 2020 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm.
