Iredell County Drug Sweep Leads To Arrest Of These 15 Suspects
Deputies arrested 15 suspects Monday in "Operation Spring Sweep." Here's who the Sheriff's Office charged in the drug bust.
IREDELL COUNTY — More than a dozen people were arrested and taken into custody early Monday morning as part of a large-scale drug bust operation across Iredell County, according to Sheriff’s Office officials.
Dubbed “Operation Spring Sweep 2019,” deputies fanned out across the county targeting 38 suspects. Officers arrested 15 suspects wanted for the sale and distribution of narcotics, such as methamphetamine, heroin and hydrocodone.
“The suspects we are targeting today were directly involved in selling methamphetamine, heroin, and illegal prescription medications to undercover investigators,” Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a statement. “Opioid based drugs such as heroin, prescription medications, along with methamphetamine are tremendously devastating to the people who use these drugs, and their effects on the community is also extremely distressing.”
