Iredell County Man Facing Felony Drug Charges: Sheriff
Michael Douglas Styers of Statesville sold crystal methamphetamine to undercover investigators, according to the sheriff's office.

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A Statesville man was arrested this week after investigators said he sold them crystal methamphetamine in undercover purchases, the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office said Friday.
Michael Douglas Styers, 40, was arrested on multiple charges of drug possession Jan. 21.
According to the sheriff’s office, investigators received a tip that Styers was possibly selling the drug near Statesville.

“Narcotics Investigators began conducting surveillance operations on Styers at various locations,” ICSO said. “They verified the initial information about the sale of narcotics, and were eventually able to conduct undercover purchases of crystal methamphetamine from Styers.”
Detectives executed a search warrant Tuesday at a Statesville hotel and found Styers, who they said was in possession of 48 grams of crystal methamphetamine with an estimated street value of $4,000.

Styers was arrested and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center, where he was charged with six counts of felony possession with intent to sell/deliver crystal methamphetamine; four counts of felony maintaining a dwelling for the sale of a controlled substance; and two counts of felony possession with intent to sell or deliver a schedule IV controlled substance. His secured bond was set at $65,000.
