Iredell County, Mooresville Schools Make Tuesday Decision

Students in Iredell County and Mooresville schools have schedule changes Tuesday. Here's all the details.

MOORESVILLE, NC — Tuesday will be another snow day for students in Iredell County. School officials say there are no classes for Iredell-Statesville and Mooresville Graded Schools as frigid temperatures tonight are expected to lead to dangerous driving conditions in the morning.

“While the snow has melted somewhat today, many of our neighborhood streets and side roads are still covered with snow and slush,” Mooresville Graded Schools said in a statement. “With overnight temperatures dropping well below freezing, our district administration feels these roads tomorrow will be quite hazardous and has made the decision to not hold school again tomorrow (Tuesday 12/11) for our staff and students (maintenance and custodial staff will receive additional information from their supervisors).”

All practices and athletic events are also cancelled, as well as the Board of Education meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday evening, the school system said.
