Iredell County Voter Registration Deadline Is Friday

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County residents have until Oct. 12 to register to vote in the upcoming Nov. 6 election or to file a change of name or address according to the North Carolina State Board of Elections.

The last day to request an absentee ballot by mail is Oct. 30.

Here's how North Carolina residents can register, update and verify their voting information:

• Check your voter registration to ensure it is accurate and up-to-date through our "Voter Lookup" tool.
• If you are qualified to vote but not registered in your county, the North Carolina Voter Registration Application is here.
• If necessary, update your registration to reflect necessary changes (address, party affiliation, name, etc.)
• Review the voting options available in North Carolina, including absentee by mail, one-stop early voting, military and overseas voting, curbside voting and traditional Election Day voting.
• The deadline for the November 6 general election is October 12. And of course, you can register and vote at the same time during the 17-day early voting period before each election.

Early voting begins in Iredell County Oct. 17 at three polling sites and eligible individuals may register and vote during one-stop early voting. Early voting ends Saturday, Nov. 3.

Iredell County Early Voting Locations:

• Board of Elections, 203 Stockton Street, Statesville
• War Memorial Building, 220 N. Maple Street, Mooresville
• Peninsula Baptist Church, 687 Brawley School Road, Mooresville
