Iredell County Woman Wanted For Break-In, Stealing Checks

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — Iredell County authorities are asking for the public’s help locating a woman they say is wanted for breaking into a business and stealing checks.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, Aimee Jeanette Blackwelder, 39, is wanted in connection for a breaking and entering of a business located at 210 Beulah Road in Statesville on April 24.

“When the deputies arrived they learned the suspect had broken into the business, and had stolen several of the businesses checks,” ICSO said. Investigators later learned that one of the stolen checks was deposited into a personal account at a Bank of America ATM in downtown Statesville.

“After speaking with the account holder, detectives learned, Aimee Jeanette Blackwelder, was responsible for falsifying the signature, and passing the stolen check,” ICSO said.

Warrants have been obtained for Blackwelder’s arrest for felony breaking and entering; felony larceny after breaking and entering; and felony uttering a forged instrument. Blackwelder is also wanted on outstanding warrants for probation violations.
