Iredell Man Charged With Assault Of 13 Year-Old Girl: Sheriff
Jones, 27, was charged with assaulting the 13-year-old girl, as well as breaking into the Iredell County home, the sheriff's office said.

STATESVILLE, NC — A 27-year-old Statesville man was recently arrested and charged with breaking into a western Iredell County home and assaulting a 13-year-old girl, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office. The arrest marks the second time he was arrested for breaking into the home since August, authorities said.
According to an ICSO report, a report was filed Oct. 6 alleging that Matthew Aron Jones, 27, sexually assaulted the girl, who was then interviewed at the Dove House Children’s Advocacy Center as part of an investigation.
Upon completion of the investigation, the sheriff’s office obtained an arrest warrant for Jones on the charges of felony breaking and entering and misdemeanor assault on a female by a male over 18.

Jones was arrested Oct. 15 and transported to the Iredell County Detention Center. His secured bond was set at $20,000.
