Iredell Man Charged With Indecent Liberties With A 5-Year-Old
Ernest Todd Mudd, 57, of Statesville was arrested Oct. 4 after an investigation into a report of alleged indecent liberties with a child.
STATESVILLE, NC — A 57-year-old Iredell County man was arrested recently and charged with taking indecent liberties with a 5-year-old child, according to Sheriff Darren Campbell.
Investigators with the sheriff’s office received a complaint Sept. 14 about a possible sexual assault of the child, identifying Ernest Todd Mudd, 57, as the suspect.
The victim told investigators that the alleged abuse occurred at Mudd’s residence, located at 121 Bobby’s Loop, in Statesville.

Mudd was arrested Oct. 4 and charged with one count of felony indecent liberties with a child. He was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center, and his secured bond was set at $50,000.
