Iredell Man Faces 12 Felony Child Sex Assault Charges
The charges against Rosendo Barriga Guadalupe alledge the victim was sexually assaulted numerous times over more than a year.
IREDELL COUNTY — An Iredell County man has been arrested and charged with 12 counts of felony sex crimes against a juvenile, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.
Rosendo Barriga Guadalupe, 35, was arrested June 22 after ICSO obtained a dozen warrants for his arrest for indecent liberties with a child, following a complaint made to the department in late February 2018.
According to the sheriff’s office, a report was made Feb. 28 that stated Guadalupe sexually assaulted the victim, who is now 12, on numerous occasions between November 2016 and December 2017.

Upon his arrest, Guadalupe was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center. His secured bond was set at $300,000.
