Iredell Man Wins $200K Playing Lucky 7 Scratch-Off Game
An Iredell County man won $200,000 this week by playing a scratch-off game. Here's where he bought it.
STATESVILLE, NC — An Iredell County man won $200,000 this week by playing a Lucky 7 Bonus scratch-off game ticket he purchased in Statesville, according to state lottery officials.
Wendell Lackey of Statesville bought the winning $5 ticket at the USA Mart, located at 1155 Salisbury Road. Lackey’s win means that five remaining winning $200,000 tickets remain in the game, which launched in April, North Carolina Education Lottery said.
He claimed his prize at lottery headquarters Aug. 21, and took home 4141,501 after paying required state and federal taxes.
