Iredell-Statesville Schools Make Decisions On Class, Activities
Iredell County is included in the Winter Storm Warning area from 5 p.m. Friday to 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9.
CHARLOTTE, NC -- Deteriorating weather conditions in the Lake Norman area has forced the Iredell-County School System to close up shop early.
The system will soon begin releasing students early for Friday, Dec. 8 due to inclement weather. Elementary schools will be dismissing at 1:30 p.m. and middle and high school students will be dismissed at 2:30 p.m., the system announced.
Parents who have students in after-school programs (Prime Time, etc.) and all athletic events and other extra-curricular activities occurring on Friday are being cancelled.
