Iredell Woman Charged With String Of Thefts: Sheriff

IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A 41-year-old Iredell County woman has been charged with a string of theft-related crimes near Statesville that include stealing a vehicle and tools, according to the Iredell County Sheriff’s Office.

Victoria Lee McGhee, 41, of East Broad Street in Statesville was also charged with three outstanding warrants for failing to appear for court cases related to previous incidents, ICSO said.

According to the sheriff’s office, McGhee was identified as the primary suspect in crimes reported between Oct. 18 and Oct. 20 that included the theft of a vehicle, the breaking and entering of a vehicle and multiple larcenies occurring near Greenbriar Road, Brown Summit Avenue and Hope Street in Statesville.

Authorities estimated that all of the stolen property, including the vehicle, was worth more than $3,000.

Detectives with the sheriff’s office found the stolen vehicle, which victims and witnesses linked to the breaking and entering incident, ICSO said.

McGhee was arrested Nov. 10 and charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle; felony breaking and entering of a motor vehicle; and misdemeanor larceny. Her secured bond was set at $15,000.
