Iredell Woman Scores $200K Win Playing Scratch-Off Game
The winning $5 scratch-off game ticket was purchased at the Circle K on North Main Street in Mooresville, lottery officials said.
IREDELL COUNTY, NC — A lucky Statesville woman became the first person in the state to win one of four $200,000 prizes by playing a new scratch-off game, North Carolina Education Lottery announced Tuesday.
On her way home from work recently, Latarsha Moss bought the winning $5 "$200,000 Triple Play" scratch-off ticket at Circle K on North Main Street in Mooresville.
She claimed the prize Monday at lottery headquarters in Raleigh, and took home $141,501 after taxes, NCEL said.

“Everybody always says I’m a lucky person – I’m always winning stuff,” said Moss. “I’ve never won this much!" she said.
Moss, a mother of five daughters and five grandchildren, said she wanted to use the money to buy a house.
“It still hasn’t hit me yet,” she said. “I’m grateful and I’m thankful for it," she said.

Three of the $200,000 top prizes remain for teh game, which launched last week, according to NCEL.
