Sat November 17: Jerry's Snack Bar Celebrates 60 Years

Iconic Yadkin County eatery marks 60th anniversary with celebration, live music, 35 cent hot dogs, family fun, and more.

In the year 1958, Gwyn and Pansy Martin, built and opened Jerry's Snack Bar in the Swan Creek community of Yadkin County. The small diner was named after their daughter, pictured here.

"The best kinds of roadside diners are the ones that remind us of our youth. Any time we can go back to the days when the family would pile into the car together and ride up the road to the nearby spot that had the best home cookin’ in town… well, that’s a win. Jerry’s Snack Bar, serving the tiny community of Swan Creek (near Jonesville), is a win." ~ Only In Your State

With a legacy of good down-home country cooking, Jerry's Snack Bar is celebrating 60 years serving the Swan Creek community with special deals and entertainment, including Breakfast with Santa, Live Music, and more . Martin family members Phil and JerryAnn both will be at the Snackbar for the celebration!
