- Have you seen the inside of the new Mooresville Police Department headquarters? If not, why not join the MPD on Tuesday, November 15 for an evening with the department and Chief Campurciani. Learn more about how MPD protects and serves our community, enjoy heavy hors d'oeuvres and take a tour of the new MPD headquarters. This event is free and open to the public. Hope to see you there! - The public is invited to an in-person open house meeting with the Town of Mooresville to discuss the proposed construction of the Moore Avenue Improvement Project. According to the Town of Mooresville website, "The proposed improvements on Moore Avenue begin at N. Church Street and end at N. Academy Street in Downtown Mooresville. The project would include wider sidewalks, streetscape enhancements (such as landscaping) and improved crosswalks. This project would also convert Moore Avenue to a single-lane, one-way street from N. Church Street to N. Broad Street with traffic moving northwest towards Broad Street. Project staff will host the open house on November 16 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. The open house will be in the Executive Town Board Room in Town Hall (413 N. Main Street). The Town will accept comments at the open house and through December 16th." (Town of Mooresville)
- Iredell County's Safe Kids Coalition's third annual holiday winter weather drive to collect new children's hats, gloves, socks and other winter weather wear is now underway. According to the Iredell Free News, "The effort runs through December 4. Iredell County residents are invited to make a difference in our local community by donating to the drive and helping Safe Kids ensure that children in need in our communities stay warm. Children and their families will receive winter wear items, holiday safety tip sheets, and other safety information." In Mooresville, the drop off site is the Mooresville Police Department.
