Joint Investigation Leads To Arrest, Drug Charges In Mooresville

MOORESVILLE, NC — A joint investigation between police in Mooresville and Cornelius has ended with an arrest of a man authorities say is wanted for selling cocaine in northern Mecklenburg and southern Iredell counties, Mooresville Police Department said Tuesday.

According to MPD, Marcus Lamone Black, 40, was arrested Jan. 10 as a result of that investigation.

Black was charged with two counts of trafficking cocaine; possession with the intent to sell and/or deliver cocaine; felony maintaining a vehicle for controlled substances; and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“Black was detained in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $250,000 secured bond,” MPD said.
