Kidnapping, Sex Charges For Iredell County Man: Sheriff
An Iredell County man was charged with kidnapping and forced sexual offense after a woman reported a domestic assault to authorities.

STATESVILLE, NC — An Iredell County man has been arrested and charged with kidnapping and forced sexual offense after a woman reported a domestic assault to the county’s special victims unit, the sheriff said Tuesday.
According to a report by Iredell County Sheriff’s Office, the woman recently told deputies that the incident occurred Feb. 2 in the 3000 block of Hickory Highway in Statesville. A detective with the special victims unit was able to secure warrants for the arrest of Jonathan Brenton Lynch, 34, who was taken into custody Feb. 6, ICSO said.
Lynch was charged with felony second degree kidnapping, felony second degree forced sexual offense and misdemeanor assault on a female.
