Large Structure Fire Reported In Iredell County

STATESVILLE, NC — A building fire in Statesville have led authorities to urge drivers to steer clear of West Front Street Monday afternoon.

“Please avoid the area of West Front Street and Highway 70 West in Statesville due to a large structure fire,” Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said in a Facebook post. “The Fire Departments need as much room as necessary for equipment plue it will help ensure the firefighters’ safety.”

The fire is at the FCX building in Statesville, city officials said.

Campbell posted video of the fire showing a huge plume of black smoke.
