Man Drowns Following Lake Norman Father’s Day Swim
A 77-year-old Mooresville man drowned Sunday while swimming with his family at Lake Norman, according to a report.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- A 77-year-old man from Mooresville died Sunday from complications stemming from an accidental drowning, according to a report.
John Joseph Klenchik and his family were swimming in Lake Norman June 18 when he began to struggle, the Mooresville Tribune reported Monday. “He was unconscious when they reached the shore, Iredell County Sheriff Darren Campbell said according to the newspaper.
Klenchik was taken by paramedics to Lake Norman Regional Medical Center, where he died.
