Mooresville Christmas, New Year’s Schedule 2017: What’s Closed

Christmas and New Year's Day are almost upon us. Here's the complete rundown of closings in the Mooresville area.

MOORESVILLE, NC -- Christmas Day and New Years Day is considered a federal holiday, which means government offices, schools and some businesses will take a break for the holiday.

The Town of Mooresville and Iredell County government offices will be closed for Christmas Day and the day after, on Monday, Dec. 25 and Tuesday, Dec. 26, as well as Monday, Jan. 1.

Here are the openings and closings to be aware of this Christmas holiday:

U.S. Post Office: Closed Monday, Dec. 25, and Monday, Jan. 1.

State Offices: Closed Monday, Dec. 25 -Wednesday, Dec. 27, and Monday, Jan. 1.

North Carolina Court System: Closed Monday, Dec. 25 -Wednesday, Dec. 27, and Monday, Jan. 1.

Iredell County Court System: Closed Monday, Dec. 25 -Wednesday, Dec. 27, and Monday, Jan. 1.

Iredell County Solid Waste: Closed Monday, Dec. 25. Our 901 & Mooresville Station we will be closed Sunday, Dec. 24. All facilities will be closed Monday, Dec. 25, 2017. All facilities will re-open Tuesday, Dec. 26 with regular hours.

All facilities will be closed Monday, Jan. 1, 2018 and will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2 with regular hours.

Mooresville Public Library: Closed Monday, Dec. 25 & Tuesday, Dec. 26, and on Monday, Jan. 1.

Mooresville Trash: No pick up on Monday, Dec. 25. One day delay for the rest of the week.
