Mooresville Cold Snap Set To End By Weekend, But Rain Is Coming

MOORESVILLE, NC — The frigid temperatures of Wednesday’s morning commute will soon be just a frosty memory, as temperatures are expected to rise substantially by the week’s end, according to forecasters.

In fact, daily highs will swing as much as 20 degrees, with the high jumping from the low 40s Wednesday to the low 60s by Friday. Along with the warmer temperatures, however, will be the increased likelihood of rain. Expect showers both Saturday and Sunday.

Mostly clear, with a low around 29. West northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Sunny, with a high near 51. Calm wind becoming south southwest around 6 mph in the afternoon.

Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. South southwest wind around 6 mph.
Friday (Nov. 30)
A 20 percent chance of rain after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 61. Southwest wind 7 to 11 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday (Dec. 1)
Rain likely between 8am and 1pm, then showers likely after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 59. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

A 40 percent chance of showers. Partly sunny, with a high near 70.
